Bruce Fried

Bruce Fried has more than thirty years of experience in health care law and policy, both in the public and private sectors. He counsels and represents health plans, physician organizations, hospital groups, consumer organizations, health care information technology companies, pharmaceutical and biotech companies and other health care organizations with regard to federal health care programs and policies. He is often called on to offer strategic business advice to corporate executives. Since 2005, he has been recognized by Chambers USA and ExpertGuides as one of the leading health care attorneys in the US.

 

Prior to joining SNR Denton, he served as the Health Care Financing Administration's (HCFA, now CMS) Director of the Center for Health Plans and Providers where he was responsible for policy and operations for the Medicare program. Prior to that, Bruce was director of HCFA's Office of Managed Care where he managed the rapid growth of the Medicare managed care program.

Sloan Carr 

Sloan Carr has conducted a private tax practice in Rio Rancho, New Mexico since 1993.  Teaching clients how to successfully integrate tax-savings measures into their lives and businesses is the centerpiece of her practice.  She prepares tax returns for individuals and businesses, handles audits and represents her clients before the IRS.  Carr counsels entrepreneurs on start-up tactics and business planning, handles estate work, and will provide strategic advice on all financial matters.

   

A CPA since 1979, Carr has served as a bank president, a controller for a major high-tech corporation, and as economic development advisor to a governor.  She has audited businesses and prepared tax returns for Deloitte Touche, taught entrepreneurship at the graduate level, directed an SBA Small Business Development Center, and sat on numerous boards, both private and public.  Carr holds an undergraduate business degree from Emory University and a Masters from the Wharton Business School.

 

George S. Goldstein

Dr. George S. Goldstein is a Managing Director at SilverStream Capital. He brings in over 35 years of healthcare experience to the firm. Dr. Goldstein is an Executive Vice President and a Special Advisor to the Chairman of Molina Healthcare Inc. since November 03, 2005. He advises many healthcare companies including Molina Healthcare, Inc., nHealth, Inc. and MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. He served as an Executive Vice President at Health Plan Operations and the Chief Executive Officer at Molina Healthcare of California at Molina Healthcare Inc. from 1999 to 2003. Dr. Goldstein served as the Chief Operating Officer at Molina Healthcare Inc. from 1999 to January, 2005 and served as its Executive Vice President of Public Policy from January 2005 to November 03, 2005. Before joining Molina Healthcare Inc., Dr. Goldstein served as the Chief Executive Officer of United Health Care Corporation of Southern California and Nevada from 1996 to 1998. 

Dr. Goldstein served as Senior Vice President of State Programs for Foundation Health Services, Inc. from 1993 to 1996. He is a Board of Advisor of BridgeGate Healthcare. He serves as a Member of Healthcare Board of Advisors of Object Innovation, Inc. (known as BrigeGate International). Dr. Goldstein served as Director of Molina Healthcare Inc. from1998 to 2005. He is the former Secretary, Health and Environment, for the State of New Mexico and was Executive Director, Human Services for the State of Colorado from 1975 to 1985, and was responsible for the Medicaid, public health, mental health and environmental programs. He earned a Ph.D. in Biological Experimental Psychology from Colorado State University. Dr. Goldstein holds a Master’s degree in Social Psychology from the University of Richmond and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University.
